You will need:
- Fabric (one fat quarter)
- Polyester fibrefill
- Ribbons and trimmings
- Dowel or stick (30cm (12in))
- Glue
- Erasable marker pen
Step 1
Fold the fabric in half right sides (RS) together then draw round the template on one side to mark out the star.
Step 2
Sew around the edge of the star along the drawn lines leaving a small gap at an inner point for turning through.
Step 3
Cut the fabric 5mm (¼in) outside the stitching line all round then trim away the points and notch in to the corners.
Step 4
Turn the star RS out.
Step 5
Stuff the star firmly.
Step 6
Take a length of ribbon and wrap it around the stick gluing it in position at the top and bottom.
Step 7
Pop the stick into the gap in the star and sew up the gap around the stick.
Step 8
Take some lengths of ribbon and trims and tie them around the stick just below the base of the star.
