7. In the Night Sky by Lynne Goldsworthy

This quilt reminds us of calm, serene summer nights looking up at the glowing stars. With its simple design of pineapple blocks in a circular design for a tranquil feel, it’ll be the perfect addition to any bedroom. Lynne chose to make her pineapple blocks in fat quarters of blue, grey and cream shades. 

The blocks can be traditionally or paper-pieced, although Lynne decided to traditionally piece hers.

9. Colourful Celtic Knots by Lynne Goldsworthy

Celebrate your love for the Celtic culture or go back to your roots with this wonderfully bold and bright quilt! The Colourful Celtic Knots quilt by Lynne Goldsworthy mixes modernity with tradition for a vibrant finish. 

Use bias tape combined with fused background shapes to create beautiful traditional Celtic knots. Lynne made her bias tape but it can be pre-made to save time. She also hand sewed the bias tape down but you can machine topstitch it to the background as a time-saver.

15. Royal Blue by Lynne Goldsworthy

Sew a geometrical 3D illusion with the classic Tumbling Blocks design with fat quarters in shades of blue and yellow. 

The base pattern of Tumbling Blocks is made of one shape – two equilateral triangles joined together to make a 60-degree diamond. Three of those pieced together make one hexagon shape, and those hexagons are all tessellated together to make the overall design. Then the use of three main shapes in each block gives that 3D block effect.
