How I tested
I put the resin machine in auto mode and mixed up a quantity of two-part resin. I then poured the resin into moulds and left it to cure near the machine.
Here’s how I tested the machine:
Part 1
I placed the resin machine in auto mode so I could see how it worked effectively. TVOC levels were low and the air quality was good so the body of the machine was glowing green.
Part 2
I mixed my resin as required then started filling moulds. The resin machine was blowing air in 1st gear and was still glowing green. TVOC value had gone up to 0.206mg during pouring.
Part 3
When the resin started to cure the TVOC value jumped up to over 0.500mg. As soon as this happened the resin machine automatically switched to 2nd gear and alerted me of the environment change by glowing amber. This soon made the TVOC value drop sufficiently and return to safe levels and then the light was glowing green.

Is the machine good value for money?
This machine is a considered purchase but if you use resin regularly, particularly in large quantities, it will give you peace of mind that your work area is fresh and toxic-free.
What replacement parts will be needed?
The filter will need to be replaced after approximately 2,000 hours. Depending on how often the machine is used it may need replacing every 4-6 months. The machine’s filter life indicator will turn red when the filter life falls below 10% (when you have about 200 hours left of use in it).
Is it noisy?
Not particularly. When the fan speed is in 1st gear it can hardly be heard. In 2nd gear, I was aware of it but I could still listen to my radio with no problem. The 3rd gear was the loudest but still bearable.
What does the machine look like?
It’s very modern and is made in a fresh, bright mint green. It features a leaf design all the way around it which glows when the machine is in use.

It is lightweight and has a single carrying handle towards the top so it can be moved around easily.

How to set up the Resiners® Purair Tailored Air Purifier
Step 1
Take the Resiners® Purair machine, adapter and instruction booklet out of the box.
Step 2
Twist the main body of the resin machine then remove from the base. Remove the packaging from the filter then place it back in the base.
Step 3
Plug the power cord that hangs down inside the resin machine into the socket in the centre of the filter. Twist the body of the machine back onto the base, locking it in place.
Step 4
Insert the other power cable into the base of the resin machine then plug the adapter into a socket. Press the power button lightly and the screen will light up showing the environment temperature, humidity and TVOC (total volatile organic compounds).
The green line and green glow of the machine indicate that the air quality is good.
