What is CraftPod?
Craftpod offers a quarterly subscription package inspired by the seasons and nature. You can subscribe to their four-times-a-year box scheme or buy them as one-off kits on their Etsy store. Multiple projects in one box with everything you need to start making. Eco-friendly packaging and with a social media community to join, Craftpod also offers regular competitions to enter and sweet prizes to win.
Craftpod typical craft projects
An embroidery and/or applique project, with a wooden hoop, is the standard. Often accompanied with bunting and a secondary sewing project.
Recent examples include: Flora and fauna projects - including birds, foxes, flowers and bumblebees.

£96 for an annual subscription (4 kits), £26 if purchased as one-off. You can buy CraftPod from their site.
Is Craftpod good value for money?
Really good value based on the amount of kit in the box and the multiple projects. The wooden hoop and quality of the threads and add-on make this a worthy purchase.
What are the subscription terms?
Pre-payment for the year is required but if you are not satisfied it is refundable. The subscription does not automatically renew.
Craftpod: What’s in the box
Wooden hoop, calico, felt and interfacing, 6 full skeins of DMC embroidery thread, needles, felt, embroidery scissors, wooden pegs, die-cut cardboard shapes, templates, instructions. Extras needed include a pencil and iron.
Are the projects supplies of good quality?
Much more thread is supplied than you need so you can add that to your stash. The scissors are lovely, sharp, and look nice. The hoop is really good quality and eco-friendly. Instructions are printed on good quality cards but some of the terminologies assume a little prior knowledge - but that’s easily Googled.
What are the delivery options? If you weren’t in during the time of delivery, was it left in a safe place?
The box is letterbox sized so it doesn’t matter if you’re out!
Are the boxes available nationwide in the UK?
Yearly subscriptions are available in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Single boxes are available to all other countries from the Etsy shop.
How much packaging is there?
All packaging is recyclable and the box is sturdy and could easily be reused.
How easy are the projects to make?
Easy to make with a little patience and a few terms Googled. Good for beginners to intermediate embroiderers.
Are the instructions clear?
Instructions are clear, easy to follow and any slightly trickier steps are clearly spelt out.
What are the finished projects like?
The finished projects are lovely and look better than I would have thought with limited skill.
What other craft stash did you need to make the project?
Just a pencil and an iron are needed to complete the kits.
