Many people think origami will be too complicated for them, but an origami heart is a great project to start with and it’s easy using our guide. There’s full step-by-step photos and there’s even a video tutorial if you get stuck on any parts.

4. Valentine’s paper heart snowflakes

5. DIY Valentine’s gift box
Here’s another DIY Valentine’s gift box to treat that someone special with. It’s a slightly more complicated design than our other gift box, but there are step-by-step photos and a video guide to help you with the construction.

6. Make a paper rose
As soon as it gets to February, the prices of both individual and bouquets of roses seem to skyrocket! But you don’t have to spend a small fortune on these iconic flowers, especially not when you can make your own from paper!
You’ll need a few crafty supplies to make these amazing paper flowers such as a hot glue gun, wooden skewer and florist tape (or a similar green tape).
We’ve also included templates you can download and print, which can be used on a Brother Scan ‘n’ Cut machine to make things easy, or you can always manually cut them out with a scalpel or scissors.

7. DIY Valentine’s fortune teller
Here’s one of our favourite paper crafts for Valentine's Day, and you may even remember it from your own school days (possibly known as cootie catchers in the US). These fun paper-folding toys are a playground favourite and are incredibly simple to make.

8. Make miniature quilled flowers
If you want to get really fancy with your paper flowers, then why not try the magical art of quilling? Essentially it’s all about wrapping thin strips of paper around a quilling tool to create coils, shapes and scrolls.
In our tutorial we show you how to create three miniature bouquets of daffodils, bluebells and tulips, all in an adorable mini plant pot. They’d make a sweet little gift that would look great on any work desk or mantlepiece – and the best part is there’s no watering required!
