DIY Easter crafts - Carrot shaped gift box

You Will Need

  • Carrot gift box template
  • Coloured card
  • Scalloped edge border punch
  • Green leaves toppers or die cuts
  • Small hole punch
  • Ribbon
  • Stapler

Step 1

Using the template, trace the carrot gift bag onto orange card, cut out and score where indicated. Apply glue to the end tab, fold along the scored lines and assemble to form a carrot-shaped bag, as shown.

Step 2

Attach ricrac to the top edge of the bag. Add green leaves toppers or die cuts along the top edge of the bag, as shown, securing the ends of the leaves to the inside of the bag.

Step 3

Cut a 2x25cm piece of orange card and attach green ricrac along the centre. Attach each end of the strip to adjacent sides of the bag to form the handle, as shown. Leave to fully dry before filling with treats.

Easy Easter decorations: Easter bunting

DIY Easter crafts - Easter bunting

You Will Need

  • Orange, green, grey and pink paper or card
  • Scissors
  • Scalloped pinking shears

Step 1

For the carrot, cut a 5 x 29cm piece of orange card with scallop-edged pinking shears to create a wavy line. Cut two 1.5 x 12cm pieces of green card and one 1.5 x 13.5cm piece of light green card. Fold these strips in half. Fold the orange strip in half and place the green strips on the fold line, securing with a staple. Secure the ends of the orange strip together to form a carrot shape.

Step 2

For the bunny, cut a 2.9 x 29cm piece of grey card and a 1.5 x 21cm piece of pink card for the body. Cut two 1.4 x 14.5cm pieces of grey card and two smaller pieces of pink card for the ears. Place the pink strips inside the grey pieces and bend so the ends meet. Fold the grey body strip in half and place the ear pieces on the fold line. Secure with a staple. Glue the ends of the grey strip together. Form the pink body piece into a loop and secure it to the inside of the body.

Step 3

To create your easy Easter bunting, punch holes through the tops of the carrots and bunnies and thread ribbon through the holes to string up. Now choose somewhere to display your masterpiece!
