Diamonds are a girl’s best friend, as they say, and what better way to show your mum, nan or gran just how much you love them than with a diamond fold card! They are such fun to make and are always well received, making lovely display pieces that are sure to be treasured.

Diamond fold cards are ideal for posting, as they easily fold flat to fit into an envelope and are sure to impress when received. You will need:

Die-cutting machine
Patterned paper
Coloured card

Step 1

Using the template, draw and cut out the centre diamond base card from a piece of white card. Using a bone folder or scoring tool, carefully score along all of the marked lines, as shown.

Step 2

Valley fold the four vertical lines and mountain fold the four diagonal lines. Fold the top and bottom scored triangles on each side downwards to meet each other, flatten the base and crease the folds.

Step 3

Layer floral paper onto rose gold metallic paper, then wrap with lace. Attach to the two side panels. Layer the triangular panels with floral paper. Layer floral paper onto metallic card and attach to the diamond, as shown.

Step 4

Attach glitter letter stickers to a wooden frame and add to the base. Attach three die-cut layered flowers to the centre and side panels. Add a hummingbird topper and a yellow gem, to finish.
