Sarah Jackman-Read has come up with three fun designs for you to try with our card examples, which capture the magic of the city that never sleeps, but you could create your own skyline or snowy shaker with the papers, too!

How to make a Christmas in New York aperture card
Shopping List:
- Christmas in New York patterned papers
- White card
- Coloured paper
- Acetate
- Ribbon
- Adhesive gems/pearls
- Circle die (or something to cut circles with)
- Die-cutting machine (see our article what is a die-cutting machine?)
Step 1
Layer a white card front with grey paper, yellow paper and See the Sights patterned paper from your exclusive collection. Die-cut an 8cm-wide circle aperture into the card front. Stick the sleigh scene paper inside the card.
Step 2
Fussy cut skyscrapers to adhere behind the circle aperture. Fussy cut the Statue of Liberty and a taxicab then use sticky foam pads to affix them in front of the aperture.
Step 3
Adhere the trees and skyline borders under the aperture. Wrap red organza ribbon across the skyline border to accentuate the red in the design. Add a sentiment onto acetate then stick behind the aperture.
