Light up someone's day and stitch them up this adorable chick easter cross stitch mounted on a pastel coloured card.
It’s no coincidence Easter is during spring, when new life abounds and flowers start pushing their pretty buds through the fertile soil.
And one of the cutest newborn animals has got to be baby chicks, with their fluffy plumage!
Easter cross stitch cards
Durene has captured the mood of Easter perfectly with these cute and cheery chick cards. Each takes only a couple of hours to make, you can stitch them in no time.
Done mainly in whole cross stitches and backstitch, they do contain a smattering of fractionals and French knots to give shape and detail to the chick’s cheeks and add life to the adorable ladybird who has befriended our little chicken!
We have mounted our designs in pale green and yellow aperture cards, but you could choose any of the colours from the eggs to use.
Or, why not stitch all six designs as one large sampler? It would make a fabulous Easter present or a great decoration for your home.
So, shake your tail feather and get stitching!
These cute Easter cross stitch cards were created by Durene Jones as part of a set of 6, originally published in The World of Cross Stitching issue 214.
