This is exactly the time of year when you realise that a slouchy jumper is just what your autumn needs. Designer Bryony Hitchcock made this gorgeous jumper for some home comfort and when editor Sara spotted it, she knew she just had to get her to make another one for the magazine.
Bryony says, “this is worked in moss or seed stitch, which is fast to hook, because you crochet into chain spaces, rather than the tops of the stitches. The jumper has a wonderful drape, to keep you cosy and comfortable, and it holds its shape well after washing.”
You will need:
DROPS Belle (53% cotton, 33% viscose, 14% linen, 50g/120m), Dark Violet (19) Violet (18), Silver (06) A 4mm (US G/6) hook
You’ll find the full pattern, yarn quantities, measurements and charts for this must-make jumper, including four size options, in the issue 75.
Simply Crochet issue 75 is available as a digital edition, for Apple phones and tablets, Android phones and tablets, the Barnes & Noble Nook, and to read through Zinio as PDFs. Click here to find the right version for you.
