These sweet crochet table mats by Esme Crick are a super quick and easy project to make thanks to the Hoooked chunky cotton. They're the perfect table accessory for your Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner, and as they're so quick to make you can hook one up for every place at the table. We love the Hoooked Spesso Eco Barbante yarn, but if you're feeling really creative, you could also make these using recycled t-shirt yarn! Hoooked Spesso Eco Barbante Chunky Cotton (100% cotton, 500g/127m) 1 ball of each: Pine, Lagoon, Spring - or colours of your choice.

Notes
Table Mats are worked in rounds with RS facing throughout. Each Table Mat uses two colours of yarn.
Free crochet table mat pattern
Using any colour, ch8 and ss to last ch to from hook to form a loop.
Round 1 (RS) Ch1, 12dc into loop, ss to top of beg dc. [12 dc]
Round 2 Ch3 (counts as a tr throughout), tr in st at base of beg ch-3, 2tr in each st around, ss to top of beg ch-3. [24 tr]
Round 3 Ch3, tr in st at base of ch-3, (ch1, skip 1 st, 2tr in next st) 11 times, ch1, skip final st, ss to top of beg ch-3. [24 tr, 12 ch-1 sps]
Fasten off and join any colour into a tr.
Round 4 Ch1, *dc in each tr to next ch-1 sp, dtr into skipped st from Round 2 working in front of the ch-1 sp from Round 3; rep from * around, ss to top of beg dc. [24 dc, 12 dtr]
Round 5 Ch2 (counts as a htr), htr in each dc and (htr, ch2, htr) in each dtr around, ss to top of beg htr. [48 htr, 12 ch-2 sps]
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
